Real time plot or chart display of Magnetometer survey data on a laptop??

Is there an interface unit available for a laptop computer that has an input for digital data (BCD) from a magnetometer and GPS data that would display a real time plot of this data or in a graphical chart display. Both the real time plot or graphical chart display would scroll down or across the screen of the laptop similar to what a paper recorder would do. All data would be saved for later use in a file. Multiple files of the same area could be overlayed. This would be really great if it could be overlayed on a nautical or land chart.

Does any one know if such a system or unit exists?

This is a screen dump of the PPM/GPS mixer program running in Windows.
This shows an example of replaying a data file captured before in real-time.
The real-time screen looks exactly the same.

The interface to the GPS could be any choice of USB or Bluetooth serial links.
The interface to our PPM is a serial-to-USB cable with TTL level lines on the side of the PPM.
