We found a large piece of board with looks to be old nails, they are square at the tips to the head of the nail. We found it in Lake Huron

Were there American prisoners aboard and are there names? Do we have name of the Captain? Did it play any part earlier in the Revolution
Need info on laker wrecked in Long Sault Rapids circa 1950-1954. Faces west. Down by stern. White stripes on funnel. Salvaged? Have photo.
I found this item that is wood and brass from a ship wreck on Cal Sal Island in 1979. I will forward a picture to anyone who is interested.

This book contains stories of long lost shipwrecks and the journeys of the underwater explorers who found them, written by Jim Kennard with paintings by Roland Stevens and underwater imagery by Roger Pawlowski.
The recent discovery of the wreck of the British warship Ontario, “the Holy Grail” of Great Lakes shipwrecks, solves several mysteries that have puzzled historians since the ship sank more than two centuries ago. Now, for the first time, the whole tragic story of the Ontario can finally be told.
