My Father-in-law was William P. Bethke, one of the C-45 passengers from the A.F. that landed in Lake Ontario.?

He told us the story years ago and gave us an article about him that was published in his home news paper. He said that he had never jumped before and they all had to jump because the plane was going to go down. He was a Civil Engineer, lived in Rome N.Y.
