The Fitz was a very large freighter full of iron ore. It rests on the bottom in two sections. Reasons for not recovering ship is simple. Too deep, too expensive.

yes it's to deep and to much money to recover, but they did bring up the ships bell for the familys...and put a tribuet bell in it's place......
